Fellowship and friendship

We value the opportunity to share fellowship with one another, and provide many different regular opportunities for individuals to get together to build friendships in a variety of different environments. These are a great way to meet different people within the life of the church, and many find these groups are an easy way to get more involved.

Each group and activity is open to new members, and offer a great way of inviting new friends along to experience more of the fellowship and love which is at the heart the gospel message.

Spending time together away from Bramhall

There are occasional opportunities for people within our church family to spend time together away from Bramhall. Our Church Family Weekend takes place every year or so, with other opportunities such as our annual mid-week break to Llandudno, and the ECG event each Easter. These are great opportunities to get to know other people much better, as well as having space away from the busyness of daily life.

Badminton  Senior Badminton meet in the back hall on Mondays from 8-10pm, with Ladies meeting on Wednesdays from 1.30-3pm.
Indoor Bowling  A group of 12 to 15 people meet on Tuesday Afternoons during winter months for short mat indoor bowls (not to be confused with carpet bowls). This is a fun filled afternoon 2PM to 4PM with a tea break half way.  No previous knowledge is needed as members soon pick up the rudiments with plenty of help from the more seasoned members.
Snooker  Informal evenings at Hazel Grove Snooker Club – no skill required (or exhibited by the current attendees).
Art Group  The Art Group meet on Monday afternoons, and create a variety of wonderful art works.
Rambling Club  This group undertake walks of between 6 and 11 miles every 2 weeks.
Saturday Strollers  Each stroll is about 5 miles with a coffee break along the way. The group meet at 9.30am behind the Health Centre, normally on the second Saturday in the month.
Friday Nighters Groups  We have three different ‘Friday Nighters’ Groups which provide a variety of different social settings for developing friendships. Each group meet regularly in different homes, and a variety of activities including walks, meals, theatre trips and so on.
CAMEO  Primarily for our retired members, CAMEO (Come And Meet Each Other) meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at 11.00am in the Church Centre. It provides refreshments, worship, fellowship and an interesting speaker.
Pop-In Lunch  A bowl of soup, roll and salad, hot pudding… and great company, all at a very reasonable price. Tuesdays 12.00-12.30
Link  This is a meeting for ladies on alternate Thursdays at 7.45pm. It offers worship, fellowship, refreshments, a range of quality speakers and themes with occasional outings.
Church Family Weekends  We arrange a Church Family Weekend every year or so, to which everyone is invited. There are other short breaks which are arranged from time to time, such as a mid-week break in Llandudno. A group from the church normally goes to ECG each Easter. Information can normally be found in the church notices.
Occasional events  We have a range of events that happen from time to time, focused particularly for the 20s-40s age group, including activities such as quizzes, murder mysteries and meals.
